Today I went from this, (the stitches healed up quite nice-refer to last post)
Tasks that will be so much easier now:
Getting ready- showering/washing my hair, using a brush/comb, DOING my hair, dressing (buttons in particular), texting, switching gears in the jeep, WASHING MY HANDS (Couldn't get the stitches wet), using a can opener, etc. Basically anything that required pressure to be put on the thumb.
Moral of the story. I need my thumb. You do not realize how much you use it until it is gone (ok it wasn't technically gone, but you know what I mean). Let's be more careful around the stapler huh?
